Antoni Gran Sánchez and Mia Lindqvist won the 35th edition of the Cala Rajada Half Marathon, held this Saturday, starting and finishing at the Cala Rajada Yacht Club. The men’s winner clocked a time of 1:12:25 for the 21-kilometer race. Gran (Viva-es Raiguer) dominated the race, leading Christian Foley, second place, by more than a minute, and Pol Codina Miralles, third place, by more than five minutes.

In the women’s race, Mia Lindqvist also dominated her rivals, clocking a time of 1:32:50, three minutes less than Georgina Alberch Freixa, second place. Carme Tort Creus completed the podium in third place.

This latest edition has once again demonstrated the demands of this race and its spectacular yet challenging course for long-distance runners. However, the overcast weather conditions benefited the participants in this Cala Rajada Half Marathon, the longest-running half marathon held in Mallorca.

In parallel to the Half Marathon, the popular 10-kilometer race was also held, with Alejandro Santamaría winning in the men’s category and Leonor Font Balduque achieving her third consecutive victory in the women’s category.

A total of 500 participants attended this latest edition of the Cala Rajada Half Marathon and 10K, a great day of athletics that concluded with the awards ceremony for the various categories. The event was attended by Nuria Garcia, First Deputy Mayor; Agripina Rocha, Councilor for Tourism; Rosalia Vidal, Director of Serrano Hotels; and Maria Antònia Moll, President of the Capdepera Hotel Association, as the event’s main sponsors.
