The 36th Cala Rajada Half Marathon, one of the municipality’s most emblematic sporting events and a benchmark for runners from all over, was presented today at the Cap Vermell Center. The event was attended by municipal representatives, members of the organizing committee, and collaborators who make this sporting event possible year after year.
During the presentation, the main details of the race were revealed: the route, new features for this edition, services for participants, and the organizational plan for this Saturday, April 11, the date on which the race will be held.
The mayor of Capdepera, Núria Garcia, highlighted the importance of the event for the municipality: “The Cala Rajada Half Marathon is much more than a race; it’s a day of coming together, community, and unity that showcases our town and highlights the best of Capdepera: the collective effort, diversity, and commitment of our people. We are deeply proud to see how this event continues to grow, consolidate, and become an open and participatory space for everyone.”
For her part, the Councilor for Sports and Tourism, Mireia Ferrer, emphasized the sporting and promotional value of the event: “The half marathon is one of the oldest in Mallorca and takes place in a privileged setting, offering athletes a route through the landscapes of our municipality, with urban areas, natural areas, and sections close to the beach. Year after year, the number of registrations increases. The half marathon showcases the charm of our municipality and positions our destination as a benchmark for quality sporting events. I also want to thank everyone who collaborates to make it a success.”
The Cala Rajada Half Marathon continues to establish itself as a top-tier sporting and tourist event, reinforcing the municipality’s commitment to sport, health, and the promotion of the region. Currently, it already has more than 550 registered participants.
